  3. THROUGH intricate motions ran
  4. Stream and gliding sun
  5. And all my heart seemed gay:
  6. Some stupid thing that I had done
  7. Made my attention stray.
  8. Repentance keeps my heart impure;
  9. But what am I that dare
  10. Fancy that I can
  11. Better conduct myself or have more
  12. Sense than a common man?
  13. What motion of the sun or stream
  14. Or eyelid shot the gleam
  15. That pierced my body through?
  16. What made me live like these that seem
